Experimental Study on the Starting-Up and Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Pulsating Heat Pipe under Local Low-Frequency Vibrations

چکیده
Vibrations have attracted much attention as an effective method for enhancing heat transfer in pulsating pipes (PHPs). This study mainly investigates and explores the effects of local low-frequency vibrations on starting-up characteristics a PHP. The temperature average temperatures along evaporation section pipe were experimentally scrutinized, with thermal performance, under evaporation, condensation adiabatic sections, respectively. following important conclusions can be derived by experimental study: (1) effect at during time PHP more significant than that section; (2) different positions could reduce PHP—the was best when power lower, while higher; (3) sections resistance PHP, but had little PHP; (4) effectively no paper shows positive performances PHPs.

The Overall Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Double Pipe Heat Exchanger: Comparison of Experimental Data with Predictions of Standard Correlations
The single-phase flow and thermal performance of a double pipe heat exchanger are examined by experimental methods. The working fluid is water at atmospheric pressure. Temperature measurements at the inlet and outlet of the two streams and also at an intermediate point half way between the inlet and outlet is made, using copper-constantan thermocouple wires. Mass flow rates for each stream are ...

In this study, a new configuration of heat pipes as Heat Pipe Network is introduced. Here, the heat pipe network is designed, constructed and then has been under the performance assessment. This heat pipe network consists of 4 vertical heat pipes connected to evaporator collector from bottom and condenser collector from top. In order to investigate the effect of nanofluids on the thermal effici...

These experimental parameters include inclination angle, coolant flow rate, working fluid an...
متن کاملAn experimental investigation of heat transfer of Fe2O3/Water nanofluid in a double pipe heat exchanger
One way to increase the heat transfer is to use perforated twisted tapes with different hole diameters, which largely improve heat transfer with an increase in the heat transfer area at the constant volume and more mixed flow. In the previous studies, the effect of nanofluids with perforated twisted tapes is less studied. In this work, the performance of water / iron oxide nanofluid in a double...
